What at first was a strange, furry intruder in a couple's home quickly became a new friend. But it was still a surprising arrival for the couple.
The couple thinks Nala might have just pushed a door open of their home while looking for a place to stay during that stormy night.
Within hours,the couple did found the owners, Cris Hawkins and Felecia Johnson, and learned the dog's name was Nala and she had escaped from about 2 miles away
According to Hawkins and Felecia, Nala slipped out of her collar during that stormy night.
"She slipped out of the collar and ran into the woods." Hawkins stated
